CIPIA

$130.00 USD

The Cipiá Community Center needs your help.

Manaus was hit hard by the pandemic and already shows signs of collapse. A few weeks ago, access to communities living on the banks of the Rio Negro was limited in an attempt to prevent the spread of Covid-19. The Cipiá Community is located on the left bank of Manaus, and gathers 5 different ethnic groups: Desana, Kubeo, Tukano, Tuyuka, and Barasana. There are 50 people, divided among 15 families, whose source of income comes exclusively from tourism and the sale of handicrafts. Without the income of the community, basic items are already starting to run short in supply.

In order to help them with some basic urgent needs, I have decided to sell a limited edition of prints from the body of work I made in 2018.

The work comes UNFRAMED, printed @somad.studio on Archival Inkjet Exhibition Paper 13 x 19”

$130

($100 Goes to the CIPIÁ community, and 30 will cover costs of making/printing/shipping)

Shipping to U.S. addresses is included.
