Life/Death/Life is a site specific nine-channel video installation made in collaboration with Lucea Spinelli for the first Film Fest at The Farm in Rhinebeck NY, 2019.
The installation is referencing elements of a myth written by the artists, which tells the story of the Tree Goddess (Performed by Kamra Hakim of Activation Residency) and how They learned the equal importance of both life and death, light and dark, creation and destruction in owning their abundance and letting it go as an ultimate liberation.
This myth speaks to the cycles of life and death, especially among fetish and talisman making as important parts of one’s psychic journey. Through this process the archetypal wild feminine has the ability to infuse energy and strengthen life, and to stand out of the way of what dies.
